How did you meet?
The first time we saw each other was at my ex-boyfriends birthday party.. a few weeks later we had broken up and Dom swooped in and added me on Facebook, a few weeks later he took me flying in his brothers small plane along the coast line, after this point we were inseparable !
How did he/she propose?’
Dom had planned to take me on the morning of my birthday for a walk along the beach/look out where his brother would have been waiting to snap a photo of that perfect moment, however i was stubborn and ruined his plan as i wanted to stick to my normal routine and go to bootcamp even though he asked me a thousand times to go for a walk instead!!, He ended up proposing to me in our bedroom, on the morning of my birthday, at 5am! He left work early from night shift to make it home to see me and pop the question before i left to go to bootcamp.
Tell us about the wedding dress?
I wore a Pronovias wedding gown that was detailed with Spanish lace. It had a sweetheart neckline with a fitted bodice which softly flowed out from my knees. I also wore a beautiful long veil to compliment my long lacey train
Tell us about the ceremony?
Our ceremony was held out on the tip of the cliff at Fort Scratchley Newcastle, the back drop was so perfect and picturesque we decided not to have any decorations, we simply had white chairs and a white isle runner.
Tell us about the reception?
Our reception was also held at Fort Scratchely, in the function centre overlooking the ocean. Our guests were able to head straight to the reception after a short 30minute wait, where they could enjoy canapés and drinks out on the verandah over looking the ocean
What was the most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment would have to be the atmosphere and emotion felt between us the entire day. There wasn’t a single moment that we both weren’t wearing a grin from ear to ear. It was truly a perfect day.

What was your colour theme and colour palette if applicable?
We had lilac dresses, navy blue suits and soft pastel colour’s for our flowers and decorations
Did you use a wedding planner for all or part of planning your wedding?
I didn’t have a wedding planner as such, however Jo from the Exotic Lily did most of the decorating, and Jason from Fort Scratchley did all of the co-ordinating
Did you have a budget and were you able to stick to it?
Yes we did have a budget, and no we didn’t stick to it!
What was the total cost of your wedding (excluding honeymoon)?
What did you do for your Hens & Bucks Parties?
My bridesmaids planned my hens without me knowing any details! they took me to the hunter Valley for the weekend where we stayed in a beautiful house out on a vineyard on the Friday night, and on the Saturday we did a wine tour through 4-5 vineyards as well as the vodka distillery.
Dom’s bucks weekend was in Canberra, they hired a bus and drove there and back. They took him paint balling, got him drunk and then tried to play a prank on him and made him think he was going bungy jumping blind folded, once he broke free from their restraint he found he was only standing on the jetty which they had planned to push him off into the water haha
Where did/will you go on your Honeymoon & which travel agent did you book your honeymoon through:
We booked our honeymoon through Flight Centre, and we spent the first week in New York, then spent 10 days in The Bahamas, then went back to New York for 1 night before flying home
Tell us about your Photographer / photos
Wayne Wayne Wayne. AH-MAZING!! The photos are more amazing then we could have ever imagined. They capture the love and happiness that was beaming out of us all day.
Tell us about your planning process.
I had thousand’s of magazines for inspiration regarding decorations and wedding dresses. Most were given to me by my sister in law. I found my florist through your hunter valley wedding planner website 🙂
And i went to a wedding expo on the Central Coast and also the wedding expo at Newcastle Panthers where we sampled cake and looked for bonboniere ideas
Did you or your guests have to travel to the Hunter Region for the wedding?
Our wedding was held in Newcastle, we had a few guest travel from interstate where most stayed at the Chifley Hotel on Honeysuckle.
