We were introduced to each other through Ben’s brother and wife.
Over a quiet romantic intimate dinner at a local restaurant, 305 – Maitland.
It was an amazing silk dress by Lisa Ho brought from her flagship store in the Strand Arcade, Pitt St Mall, Sydney.
It was perfect, everything we dreamed of. Rose petals lined the aisle and glass jars and bottles collected over many months strung by jute hung from the tree in which we were married under, they were filled with lisianthus, freesias and lavender.
It was held at a cute, quaint little hall in Woodville, namely the Woodville School of Arts. It had loads of character and charm. We lined it with fairy lights and candles and our special little touches.

Barrio 2304 provided afternoon Tapas;
– Mushrooms stuffed with Goats Cheese
– Cheese Fritters
– Chicken Quesadilla
– Olive Tapenade Toasts
Our Main Dish was Paella made and served by a family friend on site.
Dessert was an assortment of Salted Caramel Macaroons from Espresso Newcastle, Lemon Curd Tarts and Chocolate Brownies made by a local CWA lady….and of course our amazing French made Croquembouche made from a French man in Mayfield.

With our theme we went for a relaxed, vintage, romantic feel. We had colours of whites, lavender and lemon.
Yes, Emma Rudkin. We couldn’t have done it without her help. She played a huge role in organising, booking and pulling everything together on the day.
Yes, we had a budget of $15,000 and we came just under.
Hens – Sally had a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the Maitland Art Gallery followed by a country bus pub crawl thru Gresford, Vacy, Paterson and Morpeth which included a stop for a spot of sack and egg and spoon races in the poplar tress in Tucker Park Paterson.
Buck’s – Ben had an overnight camp out on our acreage in Paterson followed by Paintball the next day and a leisurely visit to a few local pubs to and from the venue.
We booked all of our travel arrangements ourselves.
We flew to LA, drove Highway from La to San Francisco, flew to Las Vegas for 4 nights then onto New York for 8 more amazing nights.
