Monique and Joshua’s wedding at Belmont 16s was full of love, emotion and such a good atmosphere from the start.

The day began with Monique getting ready in Shortland while Joshua was in Newcastle before everything came together by the water at Belmont 16s. The venue’s waterfront setting over Lake Macquarie made it a beautiful place to bring everyone together and gave the day that relaxed lake-side feel straight away.

Monique looked incredible, Joshua was ready to go, and their ceremony, led by Louise Manning, brought everyone together in such a meaningful way. Belmont 16s is known for its uninterrupted water views and wedding spaces designed to make the most of the lake backdrop, which suited their day so well.

After the ceremony, congratulations and family photos rolled straight on before we headed away for formal photos. That gave Monique and Joshua time together, a chance to take it all in, and some beautiful moments away from the crowd before the reception began.

Back at Belmont 16s, the reception kicked off quickly and kept a really good flow through the night. Dinner, speeches, cake and the bridal waltz all gave the evening plenty of shape, while still keeping the focus on celebrating with the people around them.

One of the best parts of the day was the setting itself. Belmont 16s has modern waterfront event spaces and a strong connection between the reception areas and the lake views, which gave the whole celebration a polished but easy feel.

Jessica Vegas looked after makeup, Corryne Parkhill from Flamingo Flare brought the florals, Belmont 16s handled the catering, and Rowena Gehl helped keep everything running smoothly on the day. Altogether, it came together as a wedding that felt warm, fun and completely centred on Monique and Joshua.
