Imagine capturing the essence of over 1,400 love stories! That’s been my life for the past nineteen years, photographing weddings throughout the beautiful Hunter Valley and Newcastle.

I’m a photographer who believes in capturing more than just poses — I want to capture the real you.

My own story is filled with 25 years of marriage, five amazing kids, and two furry best friends. Originally from Mauritius, I’m now a proud Aussie. Weddings are my passion! On average, couples receive around 500–1200 fully edited images (varies depending on the day, locations, and how things unfold).

8) Do you edit all images? +

Yes — your delivered images are fully edited for consistent colour, exposure, and a timeless finish.

9) Who edits our images? +

All delivered images are processed in-house by Thierry for consistent style and quality.

10) How long does it take to receive wedding photos? +

Images can take up to 12 weeks, however the aim is to deliver within around 4 weeks (season depending).

11) Do we get high-resolution images and an online gallery? +

Yes — you receive a private online gallery with high-resolution, fully edited images.

You’ll receive a private online gallery

13) Can our guests download the photos? +

Yes — your gallery is easy to share with friends and family, with simple downloading.

14) Do you offer albums and prints? +

Absolutely. I can design a custom album and help you choose print options that suit your home.

15) How does the album process work? +

You select favourites via your gallery, I design the album proof, then once approved it goes to print. Your album is typically ready around 4 weeks after approval.

16) Can we order an album after the wedding? +

Yes — you can decide later. Your images are edited ready for print, so there’s no pressure to choose immediately.

17) Do you offer engagement sessions in the Hunter Valley? +

Yes — engagement sessions are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding.

18) What’s your photography style? +

Natural, candid and story-driven — real moments, real emotion, and flattering guidance when you need it (without awkward posing).

Yes — I run family formals efficiently with a clear list and strong direction, so you’re back with your guests fast.

25) What happens if it rains? +

We pivot fast. I’ll use covered areas, indoor spaces, and smart lighting so your photos still look amazing — rain isn’t a dealbreaker in the Hunter Valley.

26) Have you photographed at our Hunter Valley venue before? +

Very likely — I’ve photographed over 1,500 weddings and have worked at most venues. If I haven’t, I’ll still plan the best light and locations for your day.

27) Do you travel outside the Hunter Valley? +

Yes — I regularly photograph weddings across Newcastle, Sydney, the Central Coast and destination locations.

28) Do you have insurance? +

Yes — I can provide documentation if your venue requires it.

29) Do we need permits for vineyards or public locations? +

Some locations do. I’ll help you avoid surprises by checking venue rules and suggesting great alternatives if needed.

30) Do you offer a second photographer? +

A second photographer can help capture both sides getting ready and give more guest/reaction coverage. I’ll advise based on your timeline and guest count.

31) Do you work with videographers? +

Yes — I collaborate smoothly with videographers so you get both great photos and great film coverage without getting in each other’s way.

Yes — videography is available as part of packages.

33) Is there a discount if we book photography and videography together? +

The discount is already built into the packages .

34) What’s required to book Thierry Boudan Photography? +

To secure your date, it’s a signed agreement plus: 50% booking fee for photography, or a $500 booking fee for videography.

35) Do you provide sneak peeks or lifetime backup? +

I don’t offer sneak peeks or lifetime backup. You’ll receive your full edited gallery, and I recommend downloading and backing up your images as soon as you receive them.

36) Do you photograph LGBTQIA+ weddings? +

Yes — I photograph all couples. Love is love, and you’ll be supported and respected from enquiry to delivery.

37) What do you wear / how do you blend in on the day? +

I dress professionally and keep a low profile, so you feel present on the day while I capture genuine moments.
