Lucy & Jesse’s Beautiful Wedding at Dungog Weddings & Functions

When Lucy Karbowiak and Jesse Tennant chose Dungog Weddings and Functions for their wedding, they knew they’d found a venue that offered both charm and character in the heart of the Hunter region. Surrounded by rolling countryside and warm rustic touches, their day was relaxed, personal, and full of love.

Getting Ready in the Hunter

Lucy began her morning at a property in Bandon Grove, where she got ready with her loved ones. The space was filled with excitement as makeup artist Abbie Scott worked her artistry, ensuring Lucy looked stunning for the big moment ahead.

Meanwhile, Jesse prepared onsite at Dungog Weddings and Functions, keeping things simple and stress-free before seeing his bride walk down the aisle.

A Ceremony Surrounded by Nature

The ceremony took place at Dungog Weddings and Functions, a location known for its peaceful country surrounds and beautiful setting for “I do’s.” With Tim Nugent as their celebrant, Lucy and Jesse shared vows that were heartfelt and personal, creating a moment their guests will always remember.

The florals, created by Will and Wild Co, added soft, romantic colour that complemented the venue’s natural beauty, tying together the rustic charm of the countryside with the elegance of the day.

After the ceremony, we explored the property with the newlyweds and their bridal party. Dungog offers so many stunning backdrops for photos — from sweeping country views to intimate hidden spots — making it the perfect canvas to capture the love and energy of the day.

The reception continued at the same venue, where Lucy and Jesse’s thoughtful touches shone through. They chose to decorate the space themselves, adding personality and warmth to every detail. Guests enjoyed delicious catering by Sprout, while laughter, speeches, and dancing filled the night with unforgettable memories.
