It was a beautiful day to photograph. Everything flowed well, and the whole wedding had a really warm, happy feel from start to finish.

Siboney got ready at Parkside in Pokolbin, which was a lovely place to begin the day. There was a calm feel in the morning, but also that mix of nerves and excitement that always comes before a wedding ceremony. Those early parts of the day are often some of my favourite moments to photograph because there is so much going on without it feeling rushed.

The ceremony was held at Sacred Heart Church at Campbell’s Hill in Maitland. It was a meaningful ceremony with family and friends gathered around them, and it felt like a really genuine part of the day. Once the ceremony was over, everyone made their way back toward Pokolbin for the reception at Enzo Weddings.

Their Hunter Valley ironbark wedding had a great mix of tradition and fun. It felt personal to them, which always makes a wedding more enjoyable to photograph and nicer to look back on later.

One of the best parts of the day was heading out for photos around the Hunter Valley. The area always gives you so much to work with — open space, beautiful backdrops, and that relaxed feel that suits weddings so well. Siboney and Brendan were easy to photograph because they were just enjoying being together, and that always comes through in the pictures.

We were also lucky enough to get an amazing sunset, which made that part of the day even better. Sunset in the Hunter Valley can be something really special, and on this day it gave us that soft light that makes everything feel calm and natural. Those quieter moments away from the crowd often end up being some of the favourite images from the whole wedding day.

One of the big highlights of the night was their bridal dance. Siboney and Brendan put on a full performance and it was clear they had put a lot into it. It was such a fun part of the reception and something their guests will remember for a long time. It was not just a simple first dance — they really made it their own.

They also had Spanish dancers to begin the night’s dancing, which brought so much energy into the room. It was a great way to get everyone involved and it gave the reception a real lift. Once that started, the whole room came alive and the night just took off from there.

Enzo Weddings was a great setting for the reception. It suited the feel of the day really well and gave everyone space to relax and enjoy themselves. The Hunter Valley always works well for weddings like this because it has that mix of country, space, and beautiful venues without feeling too far away.

What I liked most about Siboney and Brendan’s wedding was that it felt true to them. Nothing felt forced. It was a day centered around family, celebration, and enjoying the moment. From the church ceremony through to the dancing later in the evening, it was a really enjoyable wedding to be part of.

If you are planning a Hunter Valley ironbark wedding, this day is a good reminder that a wedding does not need to feel overdone to be memorable. Good people, a beautiful setting, and a couple who are genuinely enjoying their day is more than enough.
